Hey there! I am Jane Kogan. I am a food delivery driver who has to rent cars on a monthly basis for work, and I have had my fair share of terrible experiences with car rental companies. I honestly think that the car rental industry is a lot about incompetence and overcharging. I have been overcharged, my car has been damaged, and I have even had to deal with unprofessional customer service representatives.
I have had it with these companies, and I am here to make a choice easier for you. I believe that car rental services consumers should be able to know what they’re getting into before they make a decision. I have used the services of three different car rental companies in the United States, and I have to say that I paid way too much and got nothing in return.
First of all, let me tell you that out of all the companies that I have used so far, Hire Car Today has been one of the very few that have managed to meet my expectations. I found their prices/rates to be very reasonable, and their customer service was terrific.
I never had to wait more than a few minutes for someone to help me, and they were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my experience. I do not say that they are absolutely flawless and that all you need to do is rent and chill. It has its own downsides, but for someone like me, it was more like chilling. I will tell you how.
What I Liked About Hire Car Today:
1. Prices Were Very Reasonable
The prices offered by Hire Car Today were very reasonable when compared to other companies. I was able to get a discount when I booked my car in advance, and I didn’t have to pay any hidden fees. I must say here that I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable their rates were. Also, I found their car owners to be highly respectful and professional which is both great and rare.
2. Customer Service Was Amazing
As I said earlier, I never had to wait more than a few minutes for someone to help me, and they were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my experience. The representatives were always polite and professional, and they made sure to answer all of my questions.
3. The Cars Were In Good Condition
The cars that I rented from Hire Car Today were always in good condition. I have barely had any problems with the car, and it was always clean and comfortable. In fact, I never had to worry about the car breaking down or anything like that. Also, their roadside assistance is amazing.
The car that I rented from Hire Car Today was a bit old, but it was still in good condition. I didn’t have any problems with the car, but I know some people might prefer to rent a newer car. I think this is just a matter of preference, and it’s not a big deal for me.
3. Quick And Easy Booking Process
The booking process was quick and easy. I was able to find a car that I liked and make a reservation within minutes. I did not have to stress over anything, and I was able to pick up the car right away. With another company, I had to wait for an hour just to pick up the car.
4. The Cars Are Always Available
As I said, I never had to worry about the car being unavailable when I needed it. With other companies, I would have to call ahead of time and make sure that the car was available. With Hire Car Today, I always had the car that I needed. This is why I think they are one of the best car rental companies.
5. No Hidden Fees
I never had to worry about hidden fees with Hire Car Today. I was always aware of the price that I was going to pay, and I never had any surprises. With other rental companies, I have been charged for things like insurance, gas, and even cleaning fees. Hire Car Today was always upfront about their prices, and I never had to worry about being charged extra.
What I didn’t like about Hire Car Today:
1. The Pick-Up Location Was A Bit Out Of The Way
My pick-up location was a bit out of the way, and I had to walk for around 5 minutes to get to the car. This wasn’t a big deal for me, but it might be for some people. I know friends who have used other companies and were able to pick up their cars right in front of their hotel.
I think this is a minor inconvenience, but it’s worth mentioning for those who are looking for a car rental company. Overall, I was happy with the car rental experience. The car was clean and in good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful.
2. I Didn’t Like That They Didn’t Have A Loyalty Program
I didn’t like that they didn’t have a loyalty program. I rent cars often, and I like to be able to accumulate points so that I can get discounts on future rentals. With Hire Car Today, I didn’t have this option. I understand this is a minor complaint, but it’s something that I noticed. Loyalty programs are becoming more and more common, and I think it’s something that Hire Car Today should consider because loyalty programs let customers know that you value their business.
Overall, I was very pleased with my experience with Hire Car Today. They have great rates, amazing customer service, and the cars are always in good condition. They do have a few minor drawbacks, but I think they are outweighed by the positives.
People need to understand that no company is perfect but Hire Car Today comes pretty close, at least for me. The bottom line is that I like the company, and I will continue using it. But I do hope that they will consider adding a loyalty program in the future so that people like me who rent cars stick to them. Thank you for reading!
